I love to challenge myself with new forms, techniques, and color. I like to set achievable goals for projects that I work on. I want projects to challenge me with the hope of creating something new, something that branches off my core designs. My core designs are based around functional dinnerware for everyday life. My next step in making is giving that functional utilitarian object some character, some life, some color. The main inspiration for my surface design is my fascination with plants and the outside world. Over the years I have tried a lot of techniques to see what works for me because everyone is different, what one person loves someone else may not like. The only thing that matters is if you the artist likes it, I always ask myself would I buy this, would I use this, is this something that I truly like?
