Brian Fincher

Brian is from Waxhaw, NC & currently lives in Charlotte. Brian has lived all over the world because his father was in the Air Force so he moved every couple of years. He takes many of his influences from all over the world. Brian attended UNCC & Harrington Inst. of Design in Chicago. He loved living in Chicago and became a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright. Brian’s Sculptures are influenced by the Prairie/Mission & Asian Styles, from color of glazes to showing natural clay with no glaze at all. Brain is influenced by textiles and weaving patterns. As a career he designed Commercial Fire Alarms & Life Safety Systems for over 25 years, as a side job he remodeled and flipped homes. Brian retired a couple of years ago and got bored so he decided to take a clay class and fell in love with pottery.
