Custodian, Cleaning-Czar, Clayworks #1 floor cleaning specialist!

Description

Your monthly 28 hour commitment (part-time) would involve the weekly tasks and upkeep of the facility. Your work schedule would be divided into three weeks of 6 hours and one week of 8 hours. The majority of your time would be to clean the studio floors with our Kaivac floor cleaning machine (we like to call her Bell). The other tasks consist of restroom and kitchen cleaning duties. You would be the reason the studio stays fresh and clean for all our students and guests! 

Requirements

  • Available to work late nights or early mornings

  • Eager to take ownership of duties

  • Excellent communicator who works well with others

  • Ability to carry & move heavy objects up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time

  • Work is onsite, in the studio and offices

  • No previous experience require

Responsibilities

  • Keeps floors, bathrooms, and kitchen in clean and orderly condition

  • Perform routine maintenance on Kaivac machine

  • Power-wash, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors

  • Gather and empty trash

  • Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities

  • Dusts studio shelves as necessary

  • Clean windows, mirrors, and doors with soap and other cleaners

  • Cleans and polishes fixtures

  • Reports inventory of cleaning supplies to manager

  • Notifies manager regarding the need for repairs to equipment

  • Wearing a particulate respirator or dust mask

  • Exposure to materials that are used in the ceramics process
