Join Clayworks on the first Friday of each month to see our campus in action! Stop in from 5:30-8:30pm to shop the Clayworks Gallery, receive a tour of our facility, and observe studio artists and live demonstrations. Each of our classrooms will also be full of excitement as we lead wheel, handbuilding, and raku workshops. Check out details below to register for a workshop.

Gallery Feature: Mother’s Day Shopping
Is your mom a pottery fan? Give her something special from Clayworks this Mothers Day! Our gallery is full of artworks from more than 20 Clayworks artists, and offers a wide range functional and sculptural artworks at every price point. Sneak a peek at a few of our offerings below, and visit the gallery to shop.
Studio Tours
Don’t have time for a full workshop, but still want to get a glimpse of the Clayworks experience? Stop by the gallery to chat with studio artists and have them lead you on a tour of our classrooms, glaze room, artists’ studios, and kiln room.
Raku Demonstrations (7-8PM)
Heat up your evening and watch as participant in the Crackle Glaze Raku Workshop fire their pottery in the Clayworks courtyard. Clayworks instructors Greg Scott and Ian Hood will take participants and viewers through the process of firing glazed work in a raku kiln.
MAY 3 Workshops
Adult Handbuilding Workshop: Fox Planters • 6-8pm
Join Clayworks instructor Becky Story for a session to construct your own planter. Becky will guide you through constructing the vessel and sculpting a fox face for your final creation.
Ages: 18+ unless stated otherwise
Tuition: $50 per person
Please allow 3 weeks for the projects to be completed.

Clayworks reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment.Fees are 100% refundable if the class is canceled by Clayworks, 100% refundable up to two weeks (14 days) prior to the start of class, minus a $25 processing fee, if the student cancels. No refunds or tuition credits will be given with less than two weeks’ notice.
Wheel WorkshoP • 6-8pm
Ever want to learn to throw on the potter's wheel but cannot commit to a class? In this 2-hour workshop, a Clayworks teaching artist will teach you the basics of wheel throwing. Toward the end of the workshop, you choose your favorite pieces and the glaze color they will be finished in. We will take care of the drying and firing of your pots. Attend alone, or bring a friend, family member, or a date! Your pottery will be food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

Raku Workshop: Crackle Glaze • 6-8pm
Join us at Clayworks for RAKU firing! In this hands-on workshop, participants will receive a piece of hand thrown bisque ware to glaze and fire* that will be yours. Teaching artist Greg Scott will lead participants through glazing and the Raku firing process. Your pots will be ready to take home that day. Close toe shoes are a must.
Ages: 18+
Tuition: $60 per person
*You may bring your own pot to fire. Limit the size of bisque piece to no taller than 10" and no wider than 6". Only one piece per person.
