Clayworks provides affordable studio space for 22 artists, state of the art equipment and professional development opportunities for artists.
Clayworks offers two types of studio rental spaces. Shelving units (8’h x 4’w x 2’d) are available for $171 a month. These shelving units are eight feet tall, four feet wide and two feet deep. Semi private studio spaces (120 square feet). Included are three shelving units and a 2’ x 8’ table for $325 a month. Studio artists have 24 hours a day 7 days a week access to the facility.
Clayworks facilities include: 8 electric kilns, 30 cubic foot gas kiln, a salt kiln, 3 raku kilns, 3 slab rollers,2 extruders, and clay mixer and a Peter Pugger. Fuel and materials costs are the responsibility of the artist. To further support the artists, Clayworks hosts two studio sales per year. Artists must be seriously interested in working in clay, have experience with firing kilns, and basic knowledge of a working studio.
